What is
the Wild Mile ?
The
Swan River Wild Mile Corridor is a natural gorge,
carved across the backbone of the Mission Mountain
Range in a region rich in beautiful mountain peaks,
extensive pine forests, pristine lakes, waterways,
and valleys. Located in the village of Bigfork, the
Swan River flows into Flathead Lake, the largest naturally
occurring fresh-water lake west of the Mississippi
River. The Corridor is a vital natural link between
Bigfork and its neighboring communities and is home
to the Bigfork Whitewater Festival, an international
kayaking competition.
The Wild
Mile Restaurant & Deli is located two blocks from
the end of the
Wild
Mile Corridor in the beautiful village of Bigfork,
Montana.
